First Lunch on The First Day of the Year @ Levain

I guess my title says it all.
Yes, the first lunch I have for the year after waking up from the sleep after broga hill and checking out from the service apartment.
Ben brought me here and I’m amazed.

* I heart this place.

* A very cozy and relaxing place to just sit back, grab a coffee and read a book. Should have snap pictures of the interior as well but forgotten.

* One thing that’s not good enough is the service they provide. Too many customers, too little workers. I waited for my tomato soup for about an hour, go figure.

* Mushroom Kinoko Crispy Pizza – Rm4.80.

* Raisin Cheese and Raisin Danish – Rm2.90 and Rm3.60.

Price wise, I personally think that it’s rather decent.
Tomato soup costs Rm6.90 while our Aglio Olio (nothing to rave about) costs Rm12.50.
Shall try the others out next time if I have the chance.

* Love him extra much that day for bringing me to Levain. If you followed my twitter, you should know I’m a big fan of pastries.

Really, how can you not love pastries? They’re so awesome! :9
Pastries are ♥ !

LeVain Boulangerie Patisserie
No. 7 Jalan Delima, Off Jalan Imbi, (right beside Fukuya)
55100 Kuala Lumpur
03 – 2142 6611
Open: 8am to 8pm – DAILY.

P/S: Do check this out since mine is no where near detail because I was busy eating and admiring the place.

Rm3.60 at Starhill

Rm3.60? At starhill?
What’s that?

Louis Vuitton?
Yeah, I wish too. Hah.
It’s tea break at Starhill, which only cost Rm3.60 per item.
Isn’t the deal great although it isn’t Louis Vuitton.

It’s at the floor below the entrance, not all the restaurants though. Only some.
The only one I remember is Shook, and Fisherman Cove.
Went to Shook on the second last day with the boys.

* Guess what he’s doing. (nice shot ler? *self praise* wtf)

* Not liking the picture I took of the foods, only boys picture. My sifu and Gavin taking ciggie break.

* And of course, my reflection.

Food at Shook is only so so, seriously. Wouldn’t want to give it a second try if you ask me.
But I guess they’ll taste better if there isn’t any promo.

Went to Starhill again on the last day with my girls, trying a different restaurant this time.

* Foon and me.

* Eva and Yan, both my coursemates.

* I tried Fisherman Cove this time.

* The drinks which cost Rm3.60 too. Do not order the drinks if you can, doesn’t taste nice at all.

* Lamb that cost three sixty. :D

* Carbonara Spaghetti.

* Beef Satay.

Fisherman’s Cove taste a whole lot better than Shook in my opinion. Their food is a lot more tastier.
Their Carbonara Spaghetti is goooood, really creamy. Me like.
For the portion, of course it won’t be big.

One Carbonara Spaghetti and a plate of lamb is enough to fill up my tummy but if it ain’t enough, an additional bowl of soup will be just nice.
Well, at the end of the day it ain’t THAT cheap but lunching at Starhill for three sixty a plate, hell that’s a pretty good deal.

Now the promo is back, I’m not sure till when but do go there and have a good tea break with your friends.
Only available from 3pm to 6pm.
I’m going again tomorrow!! heh! (:

The Only Pan Mee I Eat!

My title tells it all.
A short post about pan mee.
Basically, I don’t really like pan mee. Whatever food I order from kopitiam, it will never be pan mee.
First, it’s because my mom cooks it so its like I can eat it at home.
Second, I also don’t like to eat pan mee geh!!

But this ‘kon lo lat jiu pan mee’ (dry chili pan mee) caught my heart.
Like seriously this is the only pan mee I eat.
I tried Jojo pan mee, but still not as good as this ‘mei yi pan mee’.

* Madam Chiam Curry Noodle House or Mei Yi pan mee as we use to call it.

* Kon lo lat jiu pan mee plus egg. *slurp* :9

* After i add in the dried chili and mix it all together. I did not add in much chili though, a little too spicy for me.

I love this kon lo pan mee so much, I always crave for it.
I like the mee texture with the watery egg and a bit of lime.
Tasty, jeng jeng.

It’s located at Cheras, Taman Connaught.
I’m sure you know about Connaught’s oh-so-famous pasar malam.
There’s a turning to left where everyone turns to get into Taman Len Sen.
The shop is located at the left hand side. If you get to see KK Mart, you’ll see the only pan mee i eat.

I really find this better than Jojo. :X

half day at malacca

la la la. sucha lazy blogger.
to the extend where i even feel lazy taking photographs. :X
went to malacca for food two weeks ago.
yeah, just for the sake of eating.

i ♥ malacca, their historical building, jonkerstreet which is full with toys i used to play when i’m really young and of course, their foooooood.

* not to be miss, chicken rice ball.

and satay celup as well, but as i mentioned i’m too lazy to take pictures of it. i ate non-stop.

* posing for me..

* ..because i need to take pictures of..

* ..the weather.

* i keep saying, give me the ‘hou sai hou sai’ look. yeah, the very sunny look.

and the one above is my younger brother, i’m sure you know it by now.
he tagged along and we fetched him back to his flying academy after all the eating session.

seeing him getting out of the car walking in to his hostel, i feel like i’m gonna miss him a lot. *emo*

* me and lee zan shaun who’s taking his power nap.

malacca is all good except that it is really very hot.
malacca = sweats.

for the past week, i’ve been doing my assignment.
taking pictures of the weather but not on the scenery itself. i have to take pictures of human, to show the weather.
complicated stuff. and pictures of egg too.

photojournalism, that is.

* get bored of taking pictures of weather, so i changed the subject and took him instead. looking good? hah!

* and here’s a picture of the egg which i broke in my room. the bloody egg just rolled down from my table and *piak*. ugh. wipe die me okay.

and actually i broke two. i broke another one at starlight. U_U

* the last picture i took at starlight.

for now, i’ve got literature review waiting for me but as the usual me i’m procrastinating.
i know i know. i’ll be so dead.
i should be uber hardworking cause this is my last semester but instead, it’s the other way round now.
how now?

I’ll try to make you drool…

…and by that, it means foooood time.
Err, I mean pictures. Hee.. :’D

It’s been so long since I do food post, I’m lazy. :X
Here’s a few random ones, I ate last few weeks till now.

DSC06537copy
* Asam Laksa at Petaling Street. I swear it taste better than it looks. Doesn’t look very nice because we split it into half before I took picture. The portion is big and it cost only Rm4 for ‘small’ bowl.

DSC06539copy
* ‘Chu zap tong’, I don’t know what it’s called in English. Mix pork soup thingy, with stuff like pork intestine in it. I super like ‘chu zap tong’ and this one located near Petaling Street taste real good.

DSC06615copy
* Beef noodle at Petaling Street. Yes, I frequent Petaling Street these days to do stuff. This beef noodle is inside a shop at the end of Petaling Street and it’s really expensive. Around Rm6 or Rm7 for small bowl of beef noodle.

DSC06617copy
* Comes with mix beef thingy of course. I still prefer the beef noodle at Pudu, the one opposite of a tayar shop. Will do that when I have the chance to eat it again. (:

DSC06646
* Big fried at Pudu, the one where the chef uses charcoal to cook. Friends told me how nice it is but I just find it okay. No, its nice but I’ve been to one that taste a lot nicer. But that’s so long ago and the shop moved to god-knows-where. That’s the best big fried.

DSC06683copy
* Green curry fettucini at Blank Canyon. My lunch when I work for Magnum, went over to Maluri Jusco for this. Taste pretty good. (:

DSC06704
* Sushi King Rm2 Bonanza, never fail to go each year. :’D And that’s Salmon belly, really really worth it.
But too bad my brother isn’t here, I always went with him. Boo…

DSC06705copy
* Love this the most, raw prawn. I should probably take a picture of how many plates Mah Weng Kee ate, sooo much it scares me, wtf.

Went for Maxis briefing thingy at KLCC for my job yesterday, then meet up with Min Jer. (:
We watched Surrogates but before that we went to The Apartment for a drink.
And dessert.

DSC06708copy
* Some peach and strawberry dessert that has a very funny texture.

DSC06709copy
* Min Jer’s red velvet cake.

After watching movie, we decided to stay for dinner and guess what.
He decided to go back to Apartment for dinner. I guess we look really weird, in and out, in and out. Haha..
No idea what’s nice as I’ve never been to Apartment so he ordered everything. (:

DSC06717copy
* Wanted to eat carbonara but there’s none so he ordered this pasta which I don’t know what its called.

DSC06722copy
* Chicken in the bag, like chinese’s ‘zi bao gai’. Haha..

Walk around after the meal, get to smell my favourite perfume. (:
And I saw a bag that look realllllly nice and it cost Rm8000. wtf!!
But then damn nice, really. Better than all the LV and Gucci, its from Marc Jacobs.
I’ll search for the picture someday when I’m free.

Have fun going out yesterday.
Have fun eating all the nice food.
But not gonna have fun when I start work tomorrow.
And before starting work tomorrow, I will go eat some really nice food to make myself happier. wtf

Bar-B-Q!

The Organizing Committee President Of Random Event, Cheah Kam Wei decided to come up with a barbeque session for us Cheras clan-ers. Yes, very the random.
But I’m glad because these bunch of jokers really crack me up. Something that I need recently. (:

DSC04670copy

DSC04673copy

These guys!! Always bully me and only me.
They forced me to play this ghost thingy, off all the lights and stuff just to scare the shit out of me. Krazy!!
So not fun but if you wanna try, you can go google it. It’s called ‘Hotel 626’ and they said you can only play it from 6pm to 6am.
Warning : it is very the creepy.

I have lots of fun and I love them to bits although they always bully me.
And they never fail to make me laugh even though I feel like shit. (:
Thankiuuu guys. ♥
