5 nights at my beloved city, Bangkok and I am now back at home.
I used up a lot of my time to catch up on my sleep and I kind of fell in love with sleeping all over again.
There’re new adventures, new stories waiting to be unfold every single time I fall asleep.
I’m not too sure about you but I dream every single day and I even dream during short naps.
I love dreaming, it’s like watching movies though there’s a downside to it. There’s no rest, sometimes I need to run for my life in my dreams and I woke up feeling even more tired than ever.
It was a good day yesterday starting with a morning call from boyfriend. (:
Snooze a little before I got up and prepared myself.
Breakfast at KLCC’s Dome was lovely, so chilling and relaxing I find myself really enjoying the moment.
Not to mention the food was good and I was reunited with one of my favourite drink, Chai Latte.
Dome’s Chai Latte could be better, the taste is not as strong as what I had in Melbourne. I prefer it stronger.
Our Chai Latte which is slightly better than Wondermilk’s.
My Spicy Chicken Mushroom Pasta.
I love having my breakfast at Dome but I hope that their service will be improve.
They’re a little slow on whatever they do, time to buck up.
My job was actually to accompany my fat boyfriend while he waited for his sisters who were at the BookFest organized by Popular.
We then decided to check it out since we both love books in a way.
I love reading books, just that the internet always lure me to do anything that is beneficial to me and myself.
What a good decision we’ve made.
Some of the books are amazingly cheap that you just have to buy it!
There’s an entrance fees which cost only Rm2.50 per person or you can purchase a RM10 ticket in exchange for a everyday pass.
Free admission for students below 18 years old and senior citizens above 60 years old.
Date : 18th – 26th August 2012.
Venue : KLCC (Hall 1 to Hall 5 & Grand Ballroom at Level 3)
I bought a total of 6 books, some hardcovers for only RM90.40 while fat boyfriend bought 4 books for about RM55+.
Unbelievably cheap!!
Fat boyfriend bought a thick hardcover architecture book for only RM15.90!! Dirt cheap!
It is so cheap to the extend where I feel like laughing. Haha!
If you’re like me who aren’t quite willing to spend a fortune on books, this is the time for you to really buy as many books as you wish.
And here’s what I bought :)
I figured it’s time for me to improve myself.
I’ve been dying to read ‘Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus’ for the longest time but as I said I am not willing to spend on books. I assume it’s a great book for us females to understand them males more and vice versa. (I’ll force the fat to read this after I’m done reading it lol.)
As for ‘What The Dog Saw’, I’ve read the first few pages from my phone where I downloaded the trial E-book and it was a very good read. I was so hooked, a very interesting book.
Biography and memoirs! I love non-fiction books! I rarely go for fictions because to me they are all fake.
I am so broke after Bangkok or else I’ll buy more of these books. Mahatma Gandhi, Mao Zedong, Hitler, and so much more!
Also I hadn’t got the chance to buy crime books. :(
I love reading crime books, real crime. Especially those unsolved crimes, serial killers on the loose.
Shopping for books at BookFest can be as fun as shopping for clothes at Bangkok. The prices gave me the same feeling, haha.
You have four more days before BookFest ends, trust me it is gonna be worth it.
They sell all kind of books : Finance, management, business, interior design, branding, graphic designs, cookbooks, craft books, self enrichment books, memoirs, biographies, fictions, comics, …just about everything.
Some books were originally priced at RM150+ and now selling for only RM15.90. Some books go as low as RM8.90!
I am almost half way through ‘Anne Frank’ and I have this urge to go back to BookFest one more time to grab more books.
But I doubt if boyfriend agrees on my thought.
didnt know there’s archi books..coz i was there too yesterday. we thought popular surely wont have Archi books so we ended up not exploring. haha
Sharon: There’s not much choices but they do have some. Still worth checking it out since it’s so cheap haha. Books rarely go down to these kind of prices so it’s definitely a steal. :D
